We all go through phases of the collection of sub-collections over the course of our board gaming life. I am calling this one the autobiographical phase. If you have ever read the book high fidelity (or seen the movie) the main character sorts his record collection autobiographically. I love this because I share that same passion for music. Based on this premise there will be a sub-collection dedicated to this. There are many moments, but here are some defining ones. My gaming autobiography. By Globus the Elder

The Venus Next expansion for Terraforming Mars was released in December 2017. I managed to get my hands on a copy even earlier than that at PAX Unplugged. This was entirely thanks to my AMAZING friends Karyn and Kevin, who found it and then generously let me have their copy when we returned to the booth to find they had sold out. I was vibrating with joy and anticipation! Here’s what the expansion adds to the game, and what I think about it! Review by: Jillian Schmett
Hey everyone! This week I'm reviewing a game that is currently on Kickstarter, Cooks & Crooks. Designed by Luis Munoz and Andres Novelo, and published by Aether Tower and Detestable Games, Cooks and Crooks is a fun, light-hearted game for 2-4 players that incorporates hand management and take-that. By: James Freeman When i was killing time on twitter the other day i came across a video called: Let's Talk About Unintentional Sexism in Gaming Article by: Jillian Schmett Hey everyone! With February 14th approaching, I thought it would be fun to compile a list of games that I think will be good for the occasion. So whether you plan on celebrating Valentine’s Day (with your sweetheart), Gal-entine’s Day (with your favorite ladies), or Pal-entine’s Day (with your regular game group or just some people you found on the street that agreed to play a game with you, although they gave you some weird looks when you asked…), have a look and see some of the options out there that I recommend!
I have been gaming (video & board) since '81. There are only two games that have brought me to fits of rage in the heat of competition, Madden football, and the Star Realms app. I love star realms, but sometimes I get so frustrated when I can't seem to pull myself back into the game. You think you have a good plan, and you look and only have 18 health left, and your opponent has 40. I have a 40% win rate and want better results. I don't want to be tournament level just "not lose 5 in a row" level. Maybe a few tips? As Peter Frampton once said "Do you feel like i do?"
